How to stop the antimalware service executable from using up CPU resources.
- Press Windows Key + W (brings up the settings search window).
- Search for Task Scheduler.
- On the left sidebar, navigate to Task Scheduler Library > Microsoft > Windows > Windows Defender.
- Double-click on the first setting in the list.
- In the new window, uncheck Run with highest privileges.
- Uncheck the main boxes under the Conditions tab (for Idle, Power, and Network).
- Antimalware service executable will not hog computer resources anymore.
