How to set the recording settings on CamStudio to accommodate for low-performance computers while still producing high-quality video:
- Open the Region menu and select Full Screen.
- Open the Options menu.
- Select Video Options.
- Set the compressor to Microsoft Video 1 and the quality to 100, with Set Key Frames Every 100 frames.
- Under Framerates, set Capture Frames Every 5 milliseconds and the Playback Rate to 200 frames/second.
- Deselect the Auto Adjust box.
- Click OK.
- Open the Options menu.
- Select Do not record audio.
- Make sure Options -> Program Options -> Save settings on exit is checked to save these settings.
